Should a Father place himself on child support?

Every state has its own set of rules regarding child support, but the noncustodial parent should absolutely establish a formal child support arrangement. Often, you will hear men say, my child's mother is understanding, and I provide her with financial support voluntarily, purchasing whatever our child needs. She has already stated that she does not want me to pay child support. However, people, like the weather, are subject to change.
Refusal to pay child support can lead to financial hardship in the long run. Under Tennessee law, mothers are entitled to seek child support payments retroactively for up to five years preceding the petition filing date, unless the parents shared a residence, which changes the circumstances. If you have a child and do not live with the mother, it is highly recommended that you establish a legally binding child support agreement. This will prevent potential disputes and protect your financial interests. It is crucial to take her  threats seriously when she is angry, and take proactive measures to safeguard your financial well-being.
